Gearbox Solid 1.0 165G Tear:

The Gearbox Solid 1.0 165T Racquetball Racquet is a head heavy racquet with a teardrop shape.  Only 5 grams lighter then the popular 170T this racquet is for the advanced player and higher looking to increase their swing speed.  For the doubles specialist this may be a popular choice as that added swing speed is critical in the faster paced rallies typical of the doubles game.  Consider having both racquets available for each game situation you may be faced with as switching from the lighter to heavier racquet and vice versa will be done with ease.  

It is highly recommended to change the grip to the Gearbox Clutch Rubber Grip for the extra traction you will need when making contact with such a powerful stiff frame.  Despite the power that this racquet provides string breakage is rare, due to the dense string pattern, even with the 18 gauge mono filament string provided right from factory by Gearbox. 

The 18 gauge is the highest gauge recommended for racquetball but often a racquet is unable to take this gauge unless you are willing to restring quite often.  The higher the gauge the higher the performance typically and many pros will use 18 gauge and willingly sacrifice the longevity of the string job for results.  With Gearbox racquets you will undoubtedly get both.
